Harris Corporation is seeking an individual with deep understanding of FMS process from LOR to order delivery. The selected individual will work closely with Government Relations, Sales, Program Management, and USG security cooperation stakeholders, to ensure visibility of FMS cases is maintained. The ideal candidate will have an established relationship or deep understanding of the missions of DSCA, USASAC, NIPO, SAF/IA, AMC, SOLIC, and the COCOMs. Additionally, the individual selected should have a working knowledge of USG budgeting process and DOD security cooperation grants.

The duties will include:

  • Interfacing with counterparts at previously mentioned agencies, as well as with regional security cooperation officers (SCOs), international directorates at the combatant commands, and international military delegations and representatives.

  • Area of operations is 90% within the National Capital Region with occasional travel to Rochester NY, Melbourne, FL, and internationally as necessary.

  • This position works in close cooperation with government relations.

  • Generate new opportunities through engaging with stakeholders, foreign delegations, and business partners

  • Maintain visibility on USG policy changes in areas and asses the impacting on international sales

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience or a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years working in the US DOD or USG agency in the area of security cooperation and/ or foreign military sales.

  • Active Secret secuirty clearance

Preferred Skills:

  • Graduate Degree preferred

  • Capability to conduct staff coordination, channel management, business development, briefings, write white papers, interface with USG and foreign military representatives.

  • Knowledge of USG budgeting and security assistance funding is very helpful.

  • Strategic Planning in Sales and BD.

  • Mastery of Microsoft Office suite of applications.

  • Superior writing skills.
