Harris Corporation Space and Intelligence Systems has an opening for a Senior Associate, Systems Administrator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Stuttgart, Germany. The individual will work in a fast-paced environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and a collaborative team setting.
Perform analysis to include: (1) Operating Systems: Windows 2003/8 Server, Windows 7 (2) Application Software: Common Network Planning System (CNPS), Solar Winds (3) Database applications: SQL, (4) Network Protocols: TCP/IP, FTP, and SNMP
Coordinate with WSOMS sites for the scheduling of software upgrades and releases, and confirms patches and fixes have been applied and implemented correctly
Recommend and implement engineering design changes required to adapt technical requirements
Perform on-site customer training to include interface with technical representatives
Perform On-the-Job Training (OJT) and informal training support as required
Perform daily review of audit, security, and application logs and identifies problem areas or trends and takes the proper action and generates required reports
Maintain firewall rule sets and related parameters, Intrusion Detection Software (IDS), reviews audit logs, and takes required corrective action when an intrusion is detected. Following reconfiguration, analyzes satellite and network performance to confirm the effectiveness of the reconfiguration and identify anomalies. Analyzes DSCS and WGS network configurations and link performance
Provide administration support to site SIPR and NIPR network communication systems
Perform hardware maintenance, documents deficiencies affecting performance or effectiveness: Dell Servers (CNPS Subsystem), RAID disk configurations, PCs (DOSS Subsystem), and CISCO networking hardware (DOSS Subsystem), WANs and LANs
Provide Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) support as specified in the PW
Associate’s Degree in Applied Science and 6+ years of experience
Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2+ years of experience OR
Master's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 0+ years of experience
An active DoD Top Secret security clearance
IA certification in compliance with DoD 8570
Capable of obtaining DoD/NACI IT Level II certification Ability to qualify for Technical Expert Status Agreement (TESA)
MILSATCOM experience with emphasis on computer-based satellite network control systems and IT
Experience using IT tools for managing and troubleshooting complex computer networks
Experience in the management of WSOTS computer networks with skills particular to the administration of a Windows and AD domain environment
Experience in security administration in support of DIACAP requirements
This position requires the candidate to already possess an active DoD Top Secret security clearance and to maintain the clearance.
