Job Responsibilities:

We are searching for a Software Engineer - C++ at our Salt Lake City, Utah location. We are currently seeking software engineers who want to be part of developing embedded software for cutting edge communications systems. Our company designs wireless communication data links that provide secure communication in hostile environments. Candidates will have the opportunity to gain expertise in a wide array of exciting technology domains including gimbal/pedestal control software, inertial navigation software, and interfacing with devices and systems, all facilitating design of antennas that are capable of precise motion under the conditions of flight or other motion. The work is challenging and rewarding, as our products contribute to the safety and effectiveness of US and allied nations’ warfighters. The ideal candidate will have outstanding technical talent and is passionate about their work. The candidate is excited by learning about and applying new technologies and has a sense of ownership for the work that is being accomplished.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in embedded software engineering

  • Knowledge and understanding of programming with C/C++ and understanding of modern object-oriented design and architecture

  • Knowledge and experience of embedded real-time software development

  • Experience with computing architecture and operating systems

  • Ability to obtain and retain a security clearance is required for this job posting

  • Protocols such as IP, UDP, TCP, EtherCAT, CAN, RTPS/DDS

  • Low-level drivers and hardware interfaces such as PCIe, 1553, RS232, SPI, I2C, FPGAs, and other unique hardware

  • Software defined systems, especially software-defined radios (e.g. GNU Radio)

  • DevOps technologies such as virtualization, Docker, scripting, git, testing and automation

  • Agile development methodology and Atlassian tools

  • Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning, data analysis, and advanced algorithm design and development

  • Strong depth of knowledge in programming languages, compilers, and application execution

  • A knowledge of modeling software such as Matlab, Simulink, MATRIXx, SciLab, GNU Octave

  • Scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Perl

  • Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
