Job Description:

Order Management is responsible for directly assisting the Sales and Program Management teams in executing purchase orders and contracts that are placed on to Harris. The role is responsible for loading demand against the factory, preparing all shipping documentation and coordinating the creation of payment documentation. The role is also responsible for the shipment of temporary exports for the purpose of demonstrating the functionality Harris has to offer assisting the Sales team in closing out pursuits.

  • Administers, coordinate, analyze, track and support all orders. This includes providing reports as needed to support the region.

  • Manages all expediting, shipment coordinating, status and invoicing of all the Canadian order backlog.

  • Coordinates with Finance, System Engineering, Program Management, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Trade Compliance, Product Management, Sales, Contracts, Legal and external customers.

  • Processes Return Material Authorizations (RMAs), Debits, Credits, and Restocking fees, if applicable/approved.

  • Initiates closing of programs, in coordination with Program Management and Financial Analyst.

  • Produces Export Commercial invoices and other Export documents as necessary.

  • Negotiates with external customers on contract non-compliances.


  • Bachelor’s Degree plus 3+ years related work experience in the Communication Systems and Customer Services environment.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • SAP experience.

  • Basic understanding of contract terms and conditions as they relate to contracts.

  • Export experience, including working with Export Trade Compliance and Trade Compliance Regulations.

  • Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Ability to work independently, as well as with a diverse team of individuals across several departments.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Problem solving and conflict resolution skills required.

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills required.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
