Job Description:

This is a Manufacturing Troubleshoot Technician position. Candidates must be capable of following an engineered test process and maintaining consistent quality and productivity levels. In this role, individuals may be responsible for conducting tests on a variety of RF or digital printed circuit boards, sub-assemblies, or end products. Must be capable of using a variety of test equipment, logging information in technical databases and have a basic understanding of engineering schematics. Basic troubleshooting skills are required. This should include troubleshooting product, subassembly, and circuit board failures to component level. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a cross-functional team.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years’ work experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years’ work experience

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Troubleshooting to component level

  • Harris product knowledge

  • Basic knowledge of Electrical Engineering theory; Associates degree (technical discipline) is preferred

  • Labview driven automated tests

  • Basic test equipment, i.e. Signal generators, oscilloscopes, power meters, spectrum analyzers

  • Read and understand schematic diagrams

  • Ability to train lower level Test Techs

  • Microsoft Office programs

  • Regularly demonstrates a positive attitude

  • Strong customer focus

  • Strong communication skills

  • Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced production environment

  • Exhibits strong teamwork and collaboration

  • Capable of identifying problems and contributing to process improvements through Harris Business Excellence (HBX)
