Job Description:

Responsibilities include managing DoD-related Commercial and CAS covered contracts providing business, contractual and risk mitigation strategy guidance. Manage the quality of contract formation activities, such as defending Commercial Item positions, maximizing negotiated outcomes, and providing broad based business judgement utilizing a solid working knowledge of US Government acquisition regulations including FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 15 acquisition techniques, cost and price estimating concepts, and Intellectual Property practices. Participate in and coach the proposal development process by identifying areas of risk, and promoting innovative solutions to internal and external customers. Outreach and partner with other key functional areas, such as Finance, Programs and Sales on new and continuing programs to ensure desired objectives and outcomes are achieved. Regularly contribute in business strategy formation and tactical implementations at all appropriate levels. Continue to advance commercial pricing strategies and support commercial item procurement justifications where applicable. Analyze new laws, regulations and contract trends for potential impact on business goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s required, with an advanced degree preferred

  • Minimum of 6 years related work experience in dealing with US Government Federal Acquisition Regulations in a CAS environment

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Security Clearance

  • Solid understanding of US Government acquisition regulations, cost and price estimating concepts

  • Intellectual Property and an in-depth working knowledge of FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 15 acquisition techniques

  • Effective communicator both in oral and written form
