Job Description:

Responsible for providing logistical support to Harris Communications Australia PTY LTD customers for multi-phased projects for the ADF that will enhance its battlespace communications capability through seamless connectivity across all tactical systems.

  • Responsible for performing the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment relating to the MSC. Unpacks and check goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary. Lifting heavy items and forklift operation as required. Prepares and maintains consignment records for dispatch. Examines, stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines. Knowledge of material handling procedures and Environmental Health and Safety requirements.

  • Assist with the ongoing management of the Commonwealth Inventory

  • Control of inventory issues and receipts both external/internal

  • Stocktaking of Inventory as directed by Stocktake Manager

  • Inventory migration to Military Integrated Logistics Information System (MILIS)

  • Inventory migration to ORACLE

  • Ongoing equipment serviceability and maintenance duties,

  • Maintenance and management of Military Integrated Logistics Information System accounts

  • Comply and assist in the ongoing improvement of Warehouse process and procedures

  • Pick/Pack and freight consignment preparation of Inventory for Domestic and International consignments including Dangerous Goods.

  • Adherence to Import an Export Compliance to ensure International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR),

  • Ensure Work Health and Safety compliance


  • High school diploma with 6+ years experience or Associate’s degree with 2+ years experience.

  • Current Australian BASELINE security Clearance as a minimum

  • Warehouse experience

  • Current License to Perform High Risk Work (LF) Forklift license

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Efficient stores Person with experience in both CCI and Non CCI warehousing

  • Possesses excellent communications skill and is able to work a part of a team

  • Military Integrated Logistics Information System (MILIS) Qualifications for Warehousing

  • Dangerous Goods qualifications (IATA/DGR)
