Harris is searching for talented entry level Systems Integration and Test Engineers to join the Harris team to help design and develop cutting edge communications and digital communications. Our SI&T engineers produce state of the art systems and products in support of many domains and varied technologies. We build systems in healthcare, weather processing, air traffic control, law enforcement, aircraft avionics, satellite communications, wireless, cyber defense, environmental, and utilities.
Systems integration and test engineer tasks include software, mechanical and electrical integration, documentation, and fabrication of custom designed and commercial off the shelf (COTS) command, control, communications, and computer components.
Design, develop and implement cost effective procedures of testing and troubleshooting of components, sub assemblies, assemblies and systems.
Develop test plans, test procedures, requirements traceability and test reports as well as test flow and test case design and implementation.
Document testing issues and problems. Perform analysis of test results.
Support formal systems acceptance testing activities.
Present test strategies, plans and results to internal and external customers.
Systems integration and test engineers hold responsibilities from the initial design phase, through first article build and test, field installations, and sustaining O&M support.
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or other related engineering degree.
GPA 3.0 or greater required.
PREFERRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Knowledge of communications systems, software languages, automated software test, networks, network security, power systems, antennas, RF, and/or mechanical design and analysis.
Desired skills include requirements analysis and verification, software scripting and usage of automated testing frameworks and applications.
