Job Description:

  • Transferring data to and from multiple Information Systems using CDs, DVDs, and approved USB Thumb drives.

  • Perform and use variety of security utilities (McAfee Virus Scan, Word Scan, Review, and Metadata Assistant) to ensure all data transfers comply with security policies and practices.

  • Complete virus scan on standalone workstation and record all transfers in media release authorization record.

  • Review utility tool on Microsoft office documents for metadata to view information in a file that may otherwise be hidden.

  • Perform personnel security clearance coordination and processing activities.

  • Manage and generate reports from the personnel security database.

  • Occasionally assist with classified courier duties – requiring SCI clearances.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products in order to efficiently support the five member proprietary programs security team.

  • Must have excellent organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Verbal and written communication skills are essential.

  • Must possess excellent people skills and the ability to perform in high stress environments.

  • Routinely assist Program Security Officers with transferring briefing material.

  • Serve as facilities liaison for restricted areas and issue and track access badges for multiple locations.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of eight years related experience or Associates degree and 2+ years of related experience; or equivalent.

  • Eligibility for SSBI to acquire Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) access.

  • Participate in the sponsors polygraph program.

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) is required

  • Should be a self-starter with initiative, work independently and as a member of a team

  • Knowledge and oversight in the following security disciplines is a plus: Personnel security to include updating personnel security systems, records and databases

  • Use of sound logical thinking in choosing a particular course of action is preferred
