Job Description:

Harris’ Enterprise Ground Solutions (EGS) business area is seeking highly-talented individuals to execute a challenging new program develop and apply the latest technologies for Harris EGS solutions. The EGS business is growing and we are expanding our capacity to address new opportunities in defense markets. This role is to serve as an Integrated Product Team (IPT) lead for the Mission Management IPT. Responsibilities and activities will include:

  • Serve as an IPT Lead (IPTL) for a critical execution program, serving in the capacity of a technical manager of a the Mission Management subsystem, responsible for satellite ground station Telemetry, Tracking, and Control (TT&C), from definition to delivery.

  • Possess a deep understanding TT&C principles inclusive of spacecraft and instrument operational capabilities, including telemetry data acquisition, command and control of the satellites and their instruments, and related principles related to high data rate and low latency sensor processing in a ground system.

  • Lead a multi-disciplined engineering team through the full lifecycle of a program, comprised of development, integration & test, system deployment, and maintenance & sustainment.

  • Generate informative presentations, lead/perform trade studies, and participate in design reviews.

  • Identify, capture, and manage program risks to meet cost and schedule commitments, and exploit opportunities for corresponding efficiencies.

  • Interface with the customer to identify opportunities for business and program expansion, and develop and manage relationships to foster growth.

  • Possess good leadership, collaboration, and business execution skills.

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA (Bachelors) with 12 years experience, MS/MA/MBA with 10 years experience; or equivalent.

  • 9 years overall engineering experience.

  • 9 years experienceo adapting developed systems to new customer solutions, recommend, present, and defend these technical options.

  • Top Secret or TS/SCI Clearance.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Familiarity with the Earned Value Management System and application of its metrics to manage cost, schedule, and explain variances in a large effort.

  • Control account Management experience a plus.
