Job Description:

L3Harris Space & Sensors is seeking an Inspector to complete compliance inspection of piece part and subassembly in Receiving & Inspection. This includes using blueprints, drawings, gauges, and other documentation/tools to ensure company standards are being met.

Essential Functions:

  • Accurate inspection of piece parts and sub-assemblies.

  • Review of documentation.

  • Interaction with other functions of the business.

  • Accurately compare and verify information across multiple documents.

  • Utilize microscope to accurately inspect parts.

  • Efficiently work with a computer to document, report, and review paperwork.

    Qualifications:

  • High school diploma (or GED) is required.

  • A minimum of 3 years of inspection experience in a similar quality position.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive attitude in helping to resolve issues is essential for this position.

  • Members of our team must be able to actively contribute to improvement opportunities.

  • Must have a high degree of attention to detail and be highly organized and focused.

  • Interest in working overtime as needed.

  • Willingness to take prescribed training courses for the position (held on site at this facility) J-STD-001 or on the job training by peers.

  • Preferred candidates have experience with Military/Space workmanship specifications and IPC-A-610 / J-STD-001 soldering specifications.

  • Candidates with past inspection of military or aerospace electronic products experience is a plus.

    Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work for prolonged periods of time looking through a microscope.

  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.

  • Must be able to lift up to a minimum of 25 pounds at times.
