Job Description:

A qualified candidate is sought to join the PSPC Software Services Team, part of the Technical Support Services (TSS) organization. Working in the technical support facility, incumbents ensure that customers receive the highest quality technical support for Harris software products. Will assist end customers, partners and internal employees with issues and questions related to the use of Harris software products, including installation, operation and troubleshooting. Will develop and apply a working knowledge of how Harris equipment and software packages interact with each other to address questions. Incumbents will also provide delivery of software products to Harris customers using the available tools and processes within the Technical Support Services group; maintain current audit information for customer radio systems; interface with internal and external customers and other groups within Harris on software and licensing questions; produce Software Licenses and License Keys as required using various tools and software applications. Will provide multiple levels of escalated support based on the complexity of the technical issue. Will refer problems of an unusual, unsolvable nature to TAC technical support engineering personnel.


  • AA/AS degree with 2 + years prior equivalent experience in computer science or related discipline

  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written (English)

  • Should possess excellent interpersonal skills and have demonstrated the capacity to effectively foster team building within and beyond his/her work group

  • Should possess shared Harris values of Integrity, Teamwork, Excellence, and Accountability.

  • Ability to read and understand high level system schematic block diagrams

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint

  • Intermediate knowledge on Microsoft and other operating systems

  • Demonstrate leadership skills which include customer focus, change management, teamwork, diversity, and integrity

  • Excellent trouble-shooting, communication and customer service skills

  • Demonstrated ability to proactively resolve problems

  • Self-motivated team player, able to set priorities and manage to deadlines

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Working knowledge of SAP and Agile

  • Knowledge of computer aided software; such as ISO imaging software, CD burning software, file compression, and file transfer tools

  • Harris radio systems and networks knowledge is a plus

  • Proven ability to communicate issues in a less technical sense to management and business
