Job Description:

This position is accountable for planning and implementing strategic marketing plans and sales strategies for the indirect channel partners in the Communication Systems segment and Public Safety and Professional Communications business area of Harris. This position is responsible for the execution of go to market strategies, development of customer-facing key messages, positioning, key differentiators, thought leadership opportunities, and sales tools and presentations for the growth of the channel partners. This position is responsible for the development and execution of the weekly sales bulletin and quarterly indirect channel promotions. This position will provide the requirements, and messaging to the MarCom team for the development of marketing and collateral materials that enable lead and revenue generation aligned to new and existing products, offering strategies and increased brand mindshare of the channel. This role requires one to collaborate and work closely with a cross-functional team of sales, dealers, media relations, product marketing, and product managers providing the support they need to properly integrate and manage the marketing and branding components into their respective strategies, operating plans and budgets.

Essential Position Responsibilities:

  • Create customized Harris product and solution collaterals for the indirect channel partners

  • Plan, execute and host the Annual Dealer Sales Meeting (typically held in Las Vegas)

  • Develop and implement tactical marketing plans against defined budgets to achieve business area objectives for products and services enabling profitable revenue

  • Create customized advertising and promotional materials for the channel partners in support of lead generation and pursuit efforts

  • Provide input to tradeshow managers on behalf of the channel partners on show objectives and participation

  • Meet business goals and strategy targets through the efficient and effective development of marketing plans, brand messaging and advocacy enabling specific offering revenue targets

  • Gather voice of market and voice of channel to enhance our positioning and strengthen our relationships with the channel partners

  • Establish and maintain a consistent corporate brand image throughout all deliverables

  • Ensure marketing plans are consistent with the Harris Communications Systems business strategic growth plans, branding objectives, social media objectives, vision and mission

  • 20-25% travel required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university or a minimum of 10 years Channel Marketing experience

  • Minimum 8 years of experience with Public Safety, defense, RF communications or high technologycultures

  • U.S. citizenship required

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Excellent technical skills and ability to translate technical features into meaningful customer/market benefits and value

  • Strong interpersonal, writing and presentations skills with the ability to conceptualize, structure, write and present for specific audiences
