The Sr. Systems Engineer (SE) will have hands-on experience in refining and implementing requirements from user, mission and functional objectives of a similar development scope. The SE shall have experience or working knowledge planning an agile, fast-paced engineering and development team and show experience defining, clarifying, and documenting requirements. The SE shall have experience or working knowledge in performing analysis of a similar system and use the results to take early actions and recognize when interface impacts may occur. The SE shall have demonstrated scheduling experience across multiple system components. The SE may lead the System Team which will conduct the end-to-end Solution testing and participate in the System Demo at the end of each iteration. The SE shall have a comprehensive understanding of systems development lifecycle and enterprise systems architecture. The SE shall have experience or working knowledge with delivery of an integrated, web based solution of similar cost, scale etc. The SE should also have experience or working knowledge with Amazon Web Services or an equivalent Cloud-based architecture, as well as content delivery systems (e.g. Akamai), and related high availability solutions. The SE shall have an understanding or working knowledge of Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) services, including some of the following; Catalog Services for Web (CSW), Web Mapping Services (WMS), Web Feature Services (WFS), Web Coverage Services (WCS), and Web Processing Services (WPS).
Bachelor’s Degree with 6+ years of experience, or equivalent
Active Top Secret or TS/SCI Clearance
Preferred Additional Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Systems Engineering preferred
6+ years of systems engineering experience
NGA, IC or DoD IT experience strongly preferred
Experience working with Government customer strongly desired
Experience performing functional analysis, timeline analysis, requirements, and allocation of interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Experience performing detailed trade studies
Team player able to work in a large program environment
Ability to deliver high quality work on tight schedules in a dynamic, agile product environment
Good oral and written communications skills with experience in delivering/presenting to customer
