Job Description:

Develop, administer, operate, manage and maintain a Software Quality Assurance system in Fort Wayne, IN.

  • Coordinate general software quality assurance support on highly complex mission and test software

  • Insure design modifications or updates meet all quality requirements while sitting as a member on the Software Configuration Control Board (SCCB) and Discrepancy Report Review Board (DRRB)

  • Review test strategies, test cases, plans and procedures/descriptions

  • Able to verify build procedures and installations within a given environment

  • Witness formal software builds and any testing event for software requirement verification and validation

  • Monitor all testing and software deployment, including software functionality verification and validation

  • Review and track problem reports (DRs) and corrective actions (CARs)

  • Maintain records and artifacts of audits both software and process

  • Provide guidance to software development team for process compliance

  • Participates in such activities as: development and preparation of quality control and inspection methods and procedures

  • Analysis and development of quality information systems, auditing, investigation and evaluation of software designs, processes and equipment to assure conformance to established quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements

  • Developments of reliability predictions and assessment of reliability programs

  • Liaison with customers, subcontractors, vendors, military and NASA agencies

  • Participates in design reviews on assigned programs

  • Experience working within CMMI

  • Communicate effectively, both written and oral

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA (Bachelors) and 4 years experience; or equivalent

  • 2 years knowledge of quality and reliability methods and procedures for software systems and methods as they apply to aerospace and electronics industry and surveillance methods

  • Periodic on-call support over off-shifts, weekends and holidays

  • Occassional working different shifts throughout the year

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • 3 years’ experience in progressive Quality methodologies, tools and systems such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma principles, continuous improvement and ISO 9001/AS 9100 quality systems

  • Work effectively on a team, yet still maintains professional Quality separation

  • Interpret and evaluate drawings/specifications. Ability to generate instruction documentation and procedures and provide direction/support to inspection personnel

  • Experience and knowledge of TipQA

  • Current and active Secret clearance
