Job Description:

We are seeking a capable individual with experience in thecommunications field to be a key contributor of engineering services to the Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) product and program services area. A successful candidate will excel in supporting the technical requirements of the Engineering Group. Position is full time, salaried in our Dulles, VA office. Position may involve occasional travel in or out of the CONUS.

Responsibilities will include though not limited to the following:

  • Be a key contributor in planning and executing the introduction and rollout of new communications services, products, accessories and companion software applications for various audiences to include service desk, sales people, trainers and customer end-users

  • Prepare, review and maintain support / troubleshooting and repair procedures

  • Provide Tier II Technical Support

  • Contribute content and draft user manuals, troubleshooting guides, installation instructions and product / service bulletins

  • Troubleshoot problems reported by users and analyze and isolate issues

  • Build and maintain solid working relationships with internal and external customers

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

  • At least 2 years of experience with common secure LAN/WAN infrastructure configurations

  • At least 2 years of experience working with wireless technologies

  • Experience training, servicing or supporting communications equipment

  • Experience troubleshooting problems to analyze and isolate issues

  • U.S. Citizenship is required

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience using or supporting Iridium Short Burst Data (SBD) or Distributed Tactical Communications System (DTCS)

  • 2 years in a field service or sales engineering role with SATCOM or mobile communications device experience

  • Service desk or direct-customer support

  • Active SECRET or above Government security clearance

  • Some experience with technical writing, such as installation or repair instructions or troubleshooting procedures

  • Must be detail-oriented and organized

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  • Self-starter and ability to work independently

  • Strong team player able to lead or follow as necessary

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
