Job Description

The Harris Security Department is seeking an experienced industrial security professional to join our Columbia security team as a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO)/Assistant Facility Security Officer. This is a fast paced, high volume position supporting multiple programs and customers as part of a team. Candidate will focus on collateral and enhanced security processing programs. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Provides program security administration of classified programs, studies, and pursuits in the Electronics Segment (ES)

  • Conducts security briefings, security education and training; actively participating in Government security audits and yearly self-inspections

  • Proactive member of the Security Staff assisting in the execution of a robust insider-threat program

  • Provide prime/subcontractor security support and direction including the development and maintenance of DD form 254's and security guidance

  • Investigate security incidents and complete administrative inquiries

  • Support all other aspects of security disciplines to include: Personnel Security, Physical Security, Information Assurance (IA), Communications Security (COMSEC), and Visitor Control

  • Serve as a Top-Secret Control Officer (TSCO)

  • Assist with the security alarm response team as needed

  • Manage and maintain the company Standard Practice and Procedures (SPP) and other security related documentation as needed

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.

  • CDSE Facility Security Officer (FSO) certification

  • Top Secret clearance based on a current SSBI

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • 5 years background in Special Access Program Security with practical application DOD 5205.7 Security Volumes 1-4, Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), NISPOM, NISPOM Supplement Possess an understanding of advanced technology security integration processes

  • Strong Microsoft Suite experience to include Security software knowledge of SIMS or Access Manager

  • Strong Microsoft Suite experience to include Security software knowledge of SIMS, Access Manager or like document control system

  • Knowledge of access control and alarm maintenance

  • Six-Sigma methodology or equivalent training

  • Sound and logical thinking in choosing a course of action

  • Demonstrated experience working in teams and matrix environments

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and coordinate activities within deadlines

  • Impeccable Ethics & Integrity with a willingness to ensure regulatory compliance while providing customer support.

  • Should be able to interact with senior/executive management on matters pertaining to security policy and procedures

  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of the RMF process
