Job Description:

Harris Corporation, Space and Intelligence Systems business unit is seeking an experienced industrial security professional to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals for a facility employing 600+ personnel. This position will support multiple programs as a Security Administrator responsible for implementing National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other government directed regulations. Candidate should be well versed in these collateral requirements. Responsibilities will include:

  • Administering security processes necessary for facility operations primarily focused on document control, identification, marking, accounting and transmission of classified information.

  • Maintaining accountability requirements for classified documents and media materials IAW NISPOM.

  • Applying Security Classification Guidance necessary for the proper application of safeguarding classified information.

  • Assist with managing and administering the badging and security access control systems to ensure proper safeguarding and circulation control.

  • Supporting the implementation of corporate and local security practices and procedures to affect positive compliance by all employees.

  • Assisting in DoD clearance processing for employees; providing regular status charts of progress to supervisors. Through the JPAS system, process visit requests and SIMS data entry.

  • Assisting in new hire orientation providing a security overview presentation and fielding related questions.

  • Assisting in developing Security Education, Training and Awareness briefing materials; track completion data and maintain training records of employees.

  • Maintaining records and archiving security relevant information in accordance with NISPOM.

  • Manage multiple tasks and coordinate activities within deadlines

Basic Qualificat ions:

  • SECRET clearance eligibility to start and ability to upgrade to Top Secret.

  • High School diplomat with 8+ years’ experience and practical application of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM); or equivalent.

  • 5 years experience with security processes and procedures as they relate to all the security disciplines within the DoD.

  • 5 years knowledge of Personnel Security Clearance Standards.

  • 5 years marking and Controlling Classified Materials experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with suite of Microsoft Office programs and applications, Security Information Management Software (SIMS) and BRIVO databases.

  • Should be cognizant of government security requirements.

  • Demonstrated experience working in teams and matrixed environments.

  • Excellent writing, speaking and customer skills.
