Job Description:

Information Systems Technician to support the Harris Space Superiority unclassified end user computing environment located at multiple Harris Colorado Springs facilities. This position will provide level 1-2 support to all end users via walk-ins, phone, email/chat and support tickets. Exhibits a basic understanding of engineering application configurations and integration with the desktop. Proficient in Microsoft operating systems, and the components of the MS Office Suite. Answers internal inquires and initial troubleshooting of software and hardware failures over the phone. Performs hardware moves. Ensures systems and related equipment are in working condition. Maintains records on repairs, down time, changes and updates.

  • Provide level 1-2 Windows systems desktop support for engineering programs; including support for multiple Windows OS variants (Windows 7, 10), troubleshooting and resolving end user issues

  • Provide end-user client and application support. Utilize the IT work order system and meet all service level agreements

  • Interface and coordinate with Security, desktop, helpdesk, and network groups

  • Maintaining all hardware and software inventory for all locations and in multiple systems

  • Coordinate and informing end user about any impacts from updates, maintenance, or system changes

  • Responsible for VoIP phone inventory, trouble shooting and provisioning

  • Routing all IT and Non-IT COS tickets to the proper groups for best resolution

  • Review and notarize all PKI certificate request in accordance to the customers’ requirements

  • Assist in teardown and setup of computers for weekly office moves

  • Responsible for wiping or destroying failed or leased drives in accordance with customer requirements

  • Manage Ricoh printer fleet, submitting maintenance tickets, tracking toner stock and ordering toner, manage lease replacement and ordering new printers to meet business needs

  • Provide basic one-on-one training to users on Microsoft Office products and other standard software applications

  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.

  • Experience with Microsoft OS, and Microsoft Office

  • Public Notary or able to become a Public Notary within six months of hire.

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

  • Current security clearance or ability to obtain one

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • A team player with strong customer focus

  • Self-starter and have ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lb

  • CompTIA Security+ or CISSP Certification, DoD 8570 IAT Level II

  • Microsoft Windows 7/10 MCP
