Job Description:

  • Perform the technical planning, system development, system integration, verification and validation

  • Ensure the logical and systemic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints

  • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements, and allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

  • Perform systems architectural development

  • Cost, Risk, Supportability and Effectiveness analyses for total systems (concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance & disposal)

  • Work in a highly dynamic hardware & software development and integration lab


  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or other related field

  • 6+ years of relevant work experience with the following:

  • Test and troubleshooting of power and analog circuits.

  • Schematic entry, simulation, and analysis of power and analog circuits.

  • Producing technical documentation including: review materials for customers, performance requirements, test plans, and analysis reports.

  • Capability to develop and conduct electrical tests to include troubleshooting

  • Practical hands-on experience including AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion with various topologies (isolated and non-isolated) that meet the power and EMI requirements described under MIL-STD-1275, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461, and DO-160 is preferred.

  • High Voltage techniques and experience with TWT’s a plus

  • High voltage design, low power, ultra-dense, electronic packaging, miniature electronic devices, magnetics, EMI filtering, power supply control theory, manufacturing of power supply and/or high voltage circuits. Experience with closed loop feedback systems

  • Experience with Failure Analysis of high voltage power supplies.

  • Effectively communicate design and engineering requirements

  • Able to work as part of a cross functional team

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • RF Source and measurement instruments (i.e. Spectrum analyzer, Vector Analyzer)

  • Probability, statistics, random processes, communications theory, estimation theory, digital signal processing

  • Knowledge of National Instruments Labview test programming language

  • Experience in the use and programming of RF Source and measurement instruments i.e. Spectrum & Vector Analyzers, RF Sources, Oscilloscopes, RF Power meters, etc.

  • Prior engagement with project engineering to provide system solutions within scope, schedule, and budget constraints

  • MS Office skills; Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and Visio
