Job Description:

This position is accountable for planning and executing strategic domestic trade shows for the Public Safety and Professional Communications business area of Harris. This position is responsible for the execution of key messages and supporting thought leadership and presentations at shows and events. This position will report to the Strategic Product Marketing Manager, who will provide the requirements, messaging and key value propositions for the development of trade show marketing and collateral materials. These materials will enable lead generation for new and existing products, will deliver on the show objectives and will increase brand awareness. This role requires one to collaborate and work closely with the Lead Trade Show Manager for the business area, Strategic Product Marketing Managers, Communications Managers and Product Managers across the segment, providing the support they need to properly represent capabilities across Harris while managing within the allocated show or event budget.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3 years related experience and a minimum of 2 full years of trade show management experience

  • Must have the ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Proficientcy of MS Office Suite required

  • Instinctive collaborative nature and strong drive for excellence and team success

  • Working in partnership with other trade show managers across the business to manage and execute all aspects of the shows and events through post-show follow up

  • Collaborate with the Marcom team on the development of graphics and other materials required for trade shows and events

  • Continuously look for ways to drive efficiencies in the trade show process while maintaining high quality and brand strength

  • Project manage all aspects of shows and events to deliver on time and within budget all activities, including booth design, flow of traffic, demos, customer meetings, CRM input, sponsorships and leads captured

  • Lead and manage pre-show meetings that gather requirements, goals, metrics and messages

  • Prepare and deliver post-show results that report on show goals and objectives in a timely manner

  • Execute on business goals and strategy targets through the efficient and effective delivery of trade shows that strengthen brand messaging and support and enable specific offering revenue targets

  • Gather voice of market and voice of customer at shows and report to marketing team

  • Coordinate show advertising, sponsorships and promotional activities with Strategic Product Marketing Managers in support of lead generation and pursuit efforts

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong interpersonal oral and written skills and presentation skills with the

  • ability to conceptualize, structure, write and present for specific audiences

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Effectively develop, manage and lead cross-functional teams
