The Project Schedule Analyst is responsible for the implementation of sound program Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and individual project schedules on assigned projects/programs. Is an integral part of the Program Analytics organization and project management team creating, maintaining, and monitoring the project resource loaded schedules. Provides daily support to integrated product workflow teams to develop and maintain Microsoft Project detailed schedules, and accurately report schedule status. Serves as a valuable resource for any program scheduling and cost performance related questions and issues by developing strong relationships with product teams and Control Account Managers (CAMs).
Develop and accurately maintain integrated master/sub-project schedules requiring Earned Value methodology, coordinating work activities with project team members, progressing schedules and assisting in identifying and resolving schedule conflicts. Gather and analyze information to prepare schedules and status reports. Responsible for updating and reporting schedule status and variances. Maintains & modifies baseline through Project Baseline Change Review process. Performs schedule health metrics to analyze schedule quality, produce metrics, and resolve problems. Provides Schedule Analysis Reports: Critical path, Top Level, Resource Management, Milestones, and Slack Trend Reports.
BS/BA degree in Finance or Business or a minimum of 3 plus years experience or an MA/MS with 0-2 years of scheduling experience, or equivalent.
Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Working knowledge of resource loaded scheduling and is proficient in the use of the automated scheduling tool, Microsoft Project 2010.
Experience with direct interfacing to Program Managers and Project Team Members in analyzing cost/schedule performance especially on programs requiring Earned Value to estimate and maintain cost/schedule integration. Requires working knowledge of issues involved in structuring new processes, strong quantitative abilities, and excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Leadership in coordinating various activities designed to ensure timely project milestone completion and in ensuring the development of a compliant IMS with internal program procedures and DI-MGMT-81650 (integrated Master Schedule Data Item Description).
Prior work experience creating and/or maintaining an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and any Supporting Schedules on assigned projects/programs; creating and presenting project-level reports, presentations and deliverables that reflect risk and status to program management and senior management relating to the IMS.
Aptitude for detailed work, data analysis and follow-up. Demonstrated proficiency and knowledge in project controls of establishing baseline plans, managing/tracking plans, developing and presenting corrective action plans, mitigation strategies based on schedule risk assessment, critical path analysis, change management, and other business related functions required to control a project.
Basic knowledge of current accounting systems and procedures, working knowledge of C.A.S., F.A.R., and sound business management principles and techniques. VBSS Greenbelt certification recommended.
Previous Defense Industry and/or Military experience is desired
Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Earn Value Training is desired
