Assist the EHS Senior Manager with all company safety, health and environmental compliance efforts. This position has an emphasis on health and safety and the management of EHS programs, risk assessments, training, audits, ergonomic, environmental permitting, general regulatory compliance (local/state/federal) and hazardous waste management.
Responsibilities include consulting with departments to review proposed new equipment and processes, incident investigations, risk evaluation, chemical approvals, ergonomic assessments, waste evaluations, industrial hygiene monitoring and personal protective equipment evaluations at a minimum. Will coordinate Hazardous / Universal waste collections. Will complete all battery recycling needs and focus on sustainability improvements.
The candidate will be asked to create and implement risk reduction programs across the Rochester area. They must be able to assist with implementation of management initiatives while also proposing ideas of their own.
•BS/BA degree in environment, safety or equivalent engineering/science degree with 6+ years of experience in an industrial setting or 10+ years of experience in an industrial setting with an Associate’s Degree or 14+ years of experience in an industrial setting with no degree.
