Job Description:

  • Responsible for maintaining compliance with applicable security regulations for various classified information systems (IS).

  • Support the design and successfully execute an Information Assurance security program which meets customer expectations.

  • Apply a comprehensive knowledge of information technology security principles, practices and procedures to develop, implement, and manage the overall information system security program to support the Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO).

  • Ensure assigned information systems are properly managed, according to the RMF, JSIG, ICD. 503, and other security directives as required.

  • Responsible for compliance of OS and application patches on a monthly basis, review of the Network, and System audit logs weekly.

  • Provide information security certification and accreditation support for all associated RMF/JSIG documentation, security plans, policies, procedures, and guidelines for AIS / IT equipment.

  • Conduct classified information systems audits, complete IT portions of self-inspection checklists and prepare for and participate in security inspections and audits.

  • Conduct virus scanning of internal / external computer disks.

  • Coordinate daily with customer IT / internal personnel to resolve security related issues, obtain security guidance, and facilitate secure network operations.

  • Responsible for security related computer (IT) guidance, training, and education for more than one hundred project personnel.

  • Prepare for special security inspections; respond to urgent program requirements in order to insure that key customer milestones are met and provide daily support in numerous areas of IT security management.

  • Draft accreditation support documentation.

  • Review and implement, and test security policies and procedures.

  • Coordinate hardware and software purchases.

  • Work closely with the classified Information Technology Manager to ensure a secure resolution of IT related matters.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years with Bachelor’s degree, 2+ years with Masters.

  • Certificate or 10 years’ experience required using the following:

  • Microsoft Windows security settings, Linux security settings

  • Networking including switches, vlans, routers and endpoint security in a secure environment.

  • 4+ years safeguarding U.S. and foreign government classified information as it pertains to classified networks, standalone computer systems, and data encryption.

  • 4+ years reviewing and implementing security policies and procedures for classified networks.

  • Secret US government clearance. Continued employment is contingent upon the applicant’s ability to obtain a Top Secret US government clearance after date of hire.

This position requires the candidate to already possess an active Secret security clearance. In order to obtain a clearance you need to be a US Citizen and show proof of citizenship.
